I have worked with developmentally challenged people most of my adult life. While my children were growing up, I wouldn't allow the r-word to be used, even if they were kidding.

I regret that I've used this word in the past as a child. However, I have been against the use of the R-word for years and years. As a coach, I do not allow the use of this word in practice & teach the girls that it is rude, deragatory, and disrespectful.
